Hello and welcome to my little corner of the Internet!
My name is Aireca (pronounced Erica)! I am a 32 year old stay at home mama to three incredible and lively kiddos, all age 4 or under! I am married to my college sweetheart and we will be celebrating 8 years of marriage this coming September. I am a follower of Jesus and try to live my life to honor and glorify Him! I live in So. Indiana just outside of Louisville, KY. I used to want to live in New York City with the hustle and bustle of people, bright lights and the City That Never Sleeps! But you know what they say, “If you want to make God laugh tell Him your plans”! Before kids, my husband and I lived in Louisville for about three years. Once we decided to start a family, we started looking on the other side of the river to be closer to family and to get more land!
Over the past 5 years I have really leaned into the homesteading/gardening/homemaking life. I have found that I love slow mornings, hot (or iced) cups of coffee, watching the sunrise over the trees and hearing the birds chirp. The simple life seems so far out of reach sometimes in the crazy world, but with this blog I hope to share a place you can visit to let your mind relax. Enjoy a good recipe, DIY project, or a homestead endeavor I have thought of! While I don’t have 30 acres of land, an old farmhouse and chickens in my backyard. I do have the will to make as much from scratch for my family’s meals, preserving my food, tending to my land, and working on being self-sufficient. But of course I am within driving distant of some fast food restaurants that I will stop and grab some food from time to time when life gets a little too crazy!
I try to live my life with some balance. I am not an all or nothing type of person or mom. I take the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful while trying to fit it all into our lives.
